Boys Coaches: MBYLL's website explains what is needed to obtain a coaching card for boys lacrosse. The boys division strongly encourages assistant coaches to obtain training and a card. If you are currently in possession of a card that has yet to expire then no action is required. Here is the MBYLL link to check if you are in good standing:

Coaches currently certified through 2017
ï‚· Register as a certified coach on www.mbyll.org
Cost is $50 which covers USL membership fee - Actual USL fee is $55, MBYLL registration saves you $5
ï‚· Complete USL's online course "How To Make Proper Contact"
One-time course (save your electronic certificate)
Coaches requiring certification (good for 2017 & 2018)
ï‚· Register as a coach on www.mbyll.org

ï‚· Complete USL's online course: Level 1 (one-time)
ï‚· Complete USL's online course "How to Make Proper Contact" (one-time)
ï‚· Complete Positive Coaching Alliance's online course: "Double-Goal Coach" (one-time)
ï‚· Attend an MBYLL Clinic
o You must register at www.mbyll.org and complete all pre-requisites up to 36 hours in advance
o $50 clinic participation fee (due during registration) up to 36 hours in advance
o $75 clinic participation fee if registering less than 36 hours prior to clinic
o You have multiple options:
 MBYLL/USL Level 1
 MBYLL/USL Level 2
 HGR / MBYLL Level 1
 Trilogy 1.5 (for renewing coaches only)
 Trilogy 2.5 (for renewing coaches only)
 Cannons Symposium (for renewing coaches only)
o Every MBYLL region is expected to have at least one MBYLL/USL Level 1 & one Trilogy clinic
o Clinics run from early January to early April and will be available for selection on www.mbyll.org
Important Tips and Reminders
ï‚· After taking any of the online courses (USL 1, USL "Proper Contact", PCA), be sure to save yourelectronic certificate to your computer for reference and proof of completion
ï‚· Completing all pre-requisites 36 hours prior to attending a clinic will expedite your receiving of coaching card (you will receive your card at the conclusion of the clinic)
ï‚· Experienced renewal candidates are encouraged to take Level 2 and/or Trilogy clinics for advanced education and to take advantage of additionally provided tools (such as the Trilogy coaching portal)
ï‚· Towns should encourage all Classic coaches (Head and Assistant) to become MBYLL certified
ï‚· At least one coach on the sideline is required to possess and visibly wear his/her valid MBYLL Coaching card at all times during Classic games (Sundays)
ï‚· Every adult on the sideline is required to possess and visibly wear his/her valid MBYLL Coaching card at all times during Select games
ï‚· The MBYLL requirements are the baseline for coaching education and all MBYLL coaches areencouraged (and expected) to enhance their coaching education through supplementary training and enrichment (online and in-person courses and clinics).
